New technology for sustainable foot prostheses
The Munich-based start-up steptics, which is funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation, is developing a new automated process for manufacturing foot prostheses and wants to prospectively focus on the sustainability of materials to reduce energy consumption, emissions, and costs.
steptics receives EXIST start-up funding
We are delighted that the steptics team, alumni from Batch #5 of the Start-up Certificate Accelerators, has achieved another milestone with the receipt of the EXIST start-up funding. The successful participation in the Strascheg Award, HM’s ideas competition, and the subsequent coaching within the Start-up League of HM and SCE was able to set the course for the start of the company.

Making high-performance foot prostheses accessible to amputees worldwide: steptics has set its sights on nothing less. The start-up develops high-quality prostheses that people in every region of the world could be able to afford. In doing so, the founders are overcoming technical and economic boundaries.
Strascheg Award 2020: The ideas competition chooses its winners
On October 20, the winners of the Strascheg Award 2020, the ideas competition for students, alumni, professors, and employees of the Munich University of Applied Sciences, were presented with their prizes as part of the International Digital E’ship Day. The Strascheg Award is sponsored by the Renate & Falk Strascheg Foundation.
